The dimensions of a float frame (commonly used for canvas artwork on stretcher bars or rigid panels):

Width (Face Width): The visible width of the frame when viewed from the front.
Height (Total Height of Moulding): The overall depth/height of the frame profile from front to back.
Rabbet Depth (Art Accommodation): The depth available inside the frame to hold the artwork. This determines the maximum thickness of the canvas, stretcher bars, or panel that will fit.

Please be advised that all float frames will be cut with a standard 1/8" allowance unless otherwise specified in the notes.
